SEC 6th Annual Awards Fundraiser Dinner and Graduation

Welcome to the Sixth SEC Annual Awards Dinner and Graduation.

Each year we honor individuals who through persistance and committed efforts to increase their business skills, demonstrate excellence in how they operate their businesses and provide services. 

Awards will be provided in the following categories:

All nominees must have participated in busness start up classes, completed a business plan, received on site or off site technical assistance through the Savannah Entrepreneurial Center or its partners in economic development.

This year we are excited to have a Graduation ceremony as part of the of program.  So, please join us as we celebrate the challenges, triumphs and continued accomplishments of those who are footstones in the economic viability of our city!

The Savannah Entrepreneurial Center is a City of Savannah program; therefore, all proceeds are used to augment the services provided. 

Goal: To provide individuals who want to become entrepreneurs or want to expand an existing business with the training and assistance to succeed.

Program highlights:
The Savannah Entrepreneurial Center provides the greater Savannah community with opportunities to start and grow microenterprises. A microenterprise is a business having five or fewer employees and/or seed capital of not more than $35,000. The center's core service is a comprehensive training program for microenterprises which is complemented by mentoring, technical assistance, business incubators, and access to financial resources. The SEC also serves as the training venue for other Economic Development Department programs. SEC contributes to the economic empowerment of all citizens in the greater Savannah community.

Mission:
The Savannah Entrepreneurial Center provides the greater Savannah community with opportunities to start and grow small businesses. Through comprehensive training, mentoring, technical assistance, facilities and access to financial resources, the Center contributes to the economic empowerment of individuals and the community.

The Savannah Entrepreneurial Center was created by the City of Savannah to provide technical assistance, training and access to loans for small business development. The Center offers classes in a wide range of topics related to the start-up and expansion of businesses as well as several loan programs from $500 to $150,000 that are administered by the Small Business Assistance Corporation. The facility also includes a Business Incubator which provides new businesses an opportunity to "incubate" with low overhead costs and expert technical assistance during the most crucial phases of business development.
